Stretches:
Stretches are very important before you start working out or playing sports. If you don’t stretch correctly you might get injured, to warm up you must start slowly and hold static positions. Stretching is a major part of health; you can stretch in easy ways, like walking or doing a quick jog. For example me, I need to improve by stretching before I start to play basketball or soccer. For my fitness plan, I plan on doing a 5 minute jog stretch my legs and arms as a quick warm up before I start exercising. The following are some simple stretches:
Single leg toe touch (stretches hamstrings and lower back)
Stretches head and neck (“yes”,”no”,”maybe”)
Forward lunge (stretches hip flexors)
Side stretcher (stretches oblique)
It’s important to try to stretch the whole body. Stretching or warming up raises your heart rate before exercising, this is called cardiovascular warm up. The stretches above are some examples of cardiovascular, flexibility, and muscle strength warm ups, you don’t have to do hurtful and hard stretches, simple leg and arm stretches are fine. MY summer fitness plans are to jog every morning, do about 4 rounds in the track and then play sports. I plan on doing several exercises and before that, stretch correctly.
